These Ridgewood Teachers Are Among The Highest Paid In New Jersey

These 3 district teachers all make more than $116,000.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Three district teachers are among the highest paid in New Jersey.

The state Department of Education released its annual list of teachers' salaries for 2017. The Ridgewood teachers who made the list all work at Ridgewood High School and make $116,173 — significantly more than the average statewide salary of $70,637, which also includes librarians, guidance counselors, and other non-administrative staff, according to an NJ Spotlight analysis.

The local teachers who are among the 1,000 highest paid are: Margaret Schaefer, Richard McNamee and Harold Nelson.
