Three Local School Board Seats Up For Grabs in April

Terms of McNabola, Blumberg and Clark expire this year

School Business Administrator and Board Secretary of the Glen Rock Public Schools Michael Rinderknecht announced that three seats will be available for full three-year terms at the School Board election to be held on April 27.

Board president Rona McNabola, and members Randi Blumberg and Bill Clark are up for re-election this year.

McNabola said she would be running again and has already filed her petition.

Blumberg and Clark did not respond in time for this article.

Those looking to run for a Board of Education seat can obtain a School Board Candidate Kit at the Administration Building at 380 Harristown Road during business hours, 8:00 a.m. to  4:00 p.m., or online at www.njsba.org.

The School Board Candidate Kit includes a nominating petition, information about legal qualifications for school board candidacy and the role of the school board member. Information about the New Jersey School Ethics Act and important dates in the school election process is also included in the kit.

Nominating petitions must be filed with the board Secretary before 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2011.

Drawing for positions on the ballot will take place on March 17 at 2:30 PM in the Board Conference room also located at 380 Harristown Road.
