Ticket Booth Thrown Into River, Mountain Bike Taken From Ridgewood Garage: Police

On Sept. 9, an attorney with offices on Prospect Street reported that sometime between Sept. 3 and Sept. 9, a computer was removed from inside of his/her office. There were no signs of forced entry and the detective bureau is investigating the matter.

On Sept. 9 a Clifton resident and employed at Valley Hospital reported that on sometime between 6 a.m. that morning and Sept. 10 at 3:30 p.m. the front bumper and license plate were removed from his/her vehicle while it was parked in the hospital employee parking lot. The matter is under investigation by the detective bureau.

On Sept. 11, a Foster Terrace resident reported that sometime between the early morning hours of Sept. 8 and Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. a 2015 black Jamis DXT Sport mountain bike was removed from his/her closed unlocked garage. The matter is under investigation by the detective bureau.

On Saturday, it was reported that sometime overnight a ticket booth used for sporting events was damaged by being thrown into the river, several trash cans were tossed into the river and portable bathrooms in the area of the Ridgewood High School athletic fields were overturned.

On Saturday, a Westside resident reported an incident of identity theft involving his/her Verizon account.

On Saturday, a Greenaway Road resident reported that sometime between Dec. 1, 2014 and May 31, 2015 his/her home was entered possible by tampering with a lock mechanism and that personal property had been removed from inside of the home. The matter is being investigated by the detective bureau.

On Tuesday, staff at the Valley Hospital reported that six arm chairs located in the Phillips Lobby had been vandalized by being slashed with a sharp object sometime between 8 a.m. and 2:13 p.m. The matter is under investigation by the detective bureau.
