The wife of a man accused of inappropriately touching the college softball players he coached released a statement Friday.

The wife of a man who has been charged with inappropriately touching Nyack College softball players is “shocked” by the reports, according to a statement released Friday.
Ms. Ludwigsen was shocked to learn of the charges filed yesterday against her husband. She was wholly unaware of the circumstances surrounding the allegations and is learning the facts of this matter as they unfold. My client’s ultimate concern is the well-being of her children. To that end, we are kindly asking that the public respect her privacy.
Ann Ludwigsen’s husband, Kurt, has been charged with forcibly touching the sexual parts of between 10 and 20 softball players he coached, according to multiple reports.

Ludwigsen, 43, coached Nyack College’s softball team from October 2014 to March, reports states.
All victims were between the ages of 18 and 23 and none of the touching was consensual, reports state.

According to reports, the issue came to light in the wake of a particularly egregious “player disciplinary situation.”
