Valley Hospital Requiring COVID Vaccine Proof For Visitors
Special exceptions will be made for guests of certain patients, but for most, proof of a COVID-19 vaccination will be mandatory on Nov. 1.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Valley Hospital has updated their visitation policy, which now includes a provision that most visitors must provide proof of vaccination to enter the hospital.
The policy goes into effect on Nov. 1, and is a measure Valley Health System has enacted "to protect the health and safety of our patients, our employees, and our visitors," the hospital said, in a statement.
Exceptions will be made for guests in "Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, Pediatrics, end-of-life and other circumstances," the hospital policy reads.

Acceptable vaccination forms for the hospital include a vaccination card, Docket app, Excelsior app, and NYC COVID Safe app. In addition to the proof of vaccination, visitors will also need to present proof of identification.
All guests, vaccinated or otherwise, are still required to wear a mask and social distance, the hospital said.

The hospital will allow more frequent visitation for guests, changing their policy to one visitor per day from the prior policy of one visitor per hospital stay. Visitation hours have also been extended, and now stretch from 12 to 8 p.m.
