Walk through History: Historic Sloatsburg

Join Geoff Welch of Harmony Hall, the 1848 mansion of Jacob Sloat, for this walking tour of the historic and scenic village of Sloatsburg.

Historic Sloatsburg Walk through History


When: Saturday, September 12, 2015, 9:30 am, rain or shine
Where: Meeting location will be provided when your reservation is confirmed
Price: $FREE, but space is limited, and reservations are required

Join Geoff Welch, curator of Harmony Hall, the 1848 mansion of Jacob Sloat, for this walking tour of the historic and scenic village of Sloatsburg.

We will visit the Sloat family section of the Sloatsburg Cemetery and view other homes once owned by these early settlers. We will also explore Mill Street, the 1841 Erie Railroad track bed, and the banks of the Ramapo River, where remains of the village’s industrial heritage are still visible.
