'EcoEd' Schwartz remembered by family and friends on social media.

The family and friends of Ed ”EcoEd” Schwartz have posted videos, photos, and their memories of him on social media.
Schwartz, a Ridgewood sustainability expert, died on the Hawaiian island of Maui Thursday after a battle with cance. He was 47.
Schwartz decided to spend his final days in Hawaii. His decision led hundreds of people to contribute to an online GoFundMe campaign that has raised more than $47,000 to help pay for the trip.

Schwartz arrived in Hawaii with his wife, Julie Tung and their son, Kyle, May 27.
“Thank you all for your posts, comments, texts, e-mails and calls. It will take me a few days to get thru them as each time I try... I start to miss him terribly and would have to stop,” Tung posted on Facebook June 19.

“If he was here, he would say, ’Stop being sad my sweetness! No reason to be! Celebrate my life instead!’ Your posts also reminded me that others are missing him terribly as well.
“So to help celebrate his life together and ease the sorrow... I will post a video of his antics for the next seven days and share funny stories or photos for the next 30 days — please share your own funny story as well. I hope this will remind us of the joy he bought into our lives. I know this will help fill the emptiness in me with his memories.”
