Women's March On Washington Rally Is Monday In Ridgewood

More than 200 area residents are slated to attend the event.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Area residents attending the Women's March on Washington are invited to attend a rally in Ridgewood Monday.

The annual Washington, D.C. march is shaping up to be one of the largest protests, according to The Guardian. More than 186,000 women will march the day after President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration. The march is a grassroots effort where women show solidarity together for the protection of their rights, safety, health and families.

At least 200 Ridgewood-area residents are slated to attend the march.

The rally will be held at The Unitarian Church of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Place, from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Attendees may connect at the rally, learn about logistics, including transportation, and make posters.

There will be a sister march for the Women’s March On Washington in Trenton on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The march to the State House commences at 11 a.m.
