Twice As Nice Consignment Shop Offers A Little Bit of Everything
Local woman turns entrepeneur with new consignment shop

Where can you find vintage glassware and brand new Lenox candlesticks in one place? How about some new or gently used designer clothing, jewelry and accessories sold at just a fraction of the original cost?
Curious shoppers will soon find a kaleidoscope of treasures at the new Twice As Nice Consignment Shop, located at 109 West Shore Avenue in Dumont. “We’re not the usual consignment boutique that offers only clothing," says Kim Loehr, shop owner and Oradell resident. “We offer a little bit of everything…from teapots to Tiffany."
At Twice As Nice, she continues, there’s the one of a kind, the quirky and everything in between. "We have items that can bring out the nostalgia in you and other things that keep up with the current trends."

For opening day, there’s an array of new Vera Bradley items, designer shoes and handbags, and high end clothing that still have tags. There’s also an antique school desk and a Victorian crystal lamp, Waterford crystal and more.
Visitors will be shocked to learn how much time will fly while browsing the cheery shop. Loehr says she intends to add new inventory weekly so shoppers will want to make a return trip.

Collectible hobbyists also will be pleasantly surprised at some of the merchandise they might uncover in their hunts. “You’d be amazed at what people collect,” Loehr says, adding that she as been an avid collector of “stuff” for years.
Twice is Nice is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood, which is made up of local businesses, houses and a few eateries. The shop is located in KLM Mechanical Services’ brick warehouse, nestled between Madison and New Milford Avenues.
The shop has been in the making for about six months says Loehr, who can often be seen at estate and garage sales picking up new inventory, and more recently, working on renovating the former office space. “This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and it’s taken a lot of ‘elbow grease’ to get to opening day,” she explains. “I couldn't have done it without the support of my friends and family, who all pitched in to help.”
Loehr’s friends and family give her a vote of confidence and say Twice As Nice will become a favorite place to shop once she opens her doors. She tends to agree. "With the state of today’s economy, people are still looking for good value in their purchases,” Loehr concludes, adding that her items are reasonably priced. “A lot of shoppers would rather find a bargain here than shop at a department store.”
Twice As Nice Consignment Shop will open for business, beginning May 1, 2013. Hours are Wednesday - Friday, 9 am to 5 pm; Saturday, 10-3. Loehr will also accept items on consignment on a 50-50 basis. Call for details on (201) 615-2058.
