Medical Examiner To Investigate Mark Schlegel's Death: Report
Oradell police reportedly found Mark Schlegel's body in the woods near his home Thursday afternoon, 11 days after he was reportedly missing.

ORADELL, NJ — The Bergen County Medical Examiner's Office will investigate the body of a man police found in a wooded area off of Kinderkamack Road Thursday, authorities said.
The body is that of Broadway talent agent Mark Schlegel, 57, according to NorthJersey.com; Schlegel was last seen leaving his house the afternoon of Aug. 13, police said.
A press release issued by Oradell Police Lt. Richard Zdanowicz said the body was "unidentified" and "decomposed."

NorthJersey.com previously reported that a bloodhound detected Schlegel's scent near a bus stop on Kinderkamack Road.

The Oradell Police Department, Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and Bergen County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident, Zdanowicz said. He declined to comment further when reached by phone Friday morning.
The Daily Voice reported that Schlegel left his house after an argument with his wife. He returned home from a family trip to Scotland a few days earlier, according to the report. No foul play is suspected, NorthJersey.com reported.
Schlegel left the house without his keys, wallet or cell phone, police previously said.
A search team was brought in to help look for Schlegel Thursday. They were scheduled to look for him through the weekend at various predetermined locations.
Schlegel worked for Cornerstone Talent and represented several Broadway performers, Broadwayworld.com reported. His friends and clients remembered him online Friday morning.
