• Roxbury ICE detention center on hold for environmental review (njspotlightnews.org) — Plans to convert a large Roxbury warehouse into a federal ICE detention center are temporarily halted while Homeland Security conducts an environmental review demanded by New Jersey and township officials. Local leaders and activists say the pause, won in court Tuesday, could delay the project up to a year and vow to keep fighting until the property is sold back for private use.
   

• Democrats discuss Kean, electability, Israel in NJ-7 primary debate (newjerseyglobe.com) — Roxbury residents were cited in a congressional primary debate when candidate Michael Roth pointed to the town’s GOP council criticizing Rep. Tom Kean Jr. over an immigrant detention center proposal. Four Democrats seeking the NJ-7 nomination also sparred over Israel policy, immigration enforcement, and who’s best positioned to defeat Kean, offering contrasting views on conditioning aid to Israel and restructuring ICE and Homeland Security.
