ATM Skimmer Discovered At Fair Haven Bank

FAIR HAVEN, NJ — Have you used the ATM at the 1st Constitution Bank on River Road in Fair Haven recently?

Fair Haven police say an illegal skimmer was installed on that ATM and that anyone who used the ATM in early September needs to check their bank statements for missing money or signs of fraud. This was first reported in the Asbury Park Press. The skimmer was up at the ATM between Sept. 1 and Sept. 11.

It was the bank that first discovered the ATM skimmer, which can capture debit card numbers and PIN numbers. As of this Wednesday, Oct. 4, 16 people have reported fraud on their bank accounts, totaling $18,000, Fair Haven police Detective Jeffrey Jarvis told the APP.
