Body That Washed Up At Sandy Hook ID'd As West Orange Man
The man whose body washed up on the beaches of Sandy Hook this past weekend has been identified as Daniel Carroll, 62, of West Orange.

SANDY HOOK GATEWAY NATIONAL RECREATION AREA, NJ — The man whose body washed up on the beaches of Sandy Hook this past weekend has been identified as Daniel Carroll, 62, of West Orange, NJ, NJ State Police confirmed to Patch. His death is not being considered suspicious.
Carroll's car was found parked a short distance away, NJ State Police said.
His body washed ashore at Sandy Hook on Friday, according to a park spokeswoman. The body of an adult male washed up on Beach D, Daphne Yun, a spokesperson for the Gateway National Recreation Area, told Patch. The body washed up on the oceanside of the park sometime around 1 p.m., according to Yun.

The Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner's Office has taken custody of the body.
