Caretaker Stole From Rumson Home, Police Say
He stole jewelry and other valuables and sold them at multiple pawn shops throughout Monmouth County, Rumson police said.

RUMSON, NJ - A man employed as a caretaker for a Rumson home was arrested last month for stealing $51,000 worth of jewelry and other valuables from the home, police said.
John F. Sullivan Jr. was employed as a caretaker while a resident of Harbor Drive was away. He stole jewelry and other valuables and sold them at multiple pawn shops throughout Monmouth County, Det. Chris Isherwood of the Rumson PD told Patch.
Rumson police were able to charge him with sales records that were identified by the victims that totaled approximately $51,000.

Sullivan was arrested Jan. 26 and charged with third-degree theft. He was remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Facility.
