(Please note the workshop will be held on the second floor in their conference room)
The purpose of these workshops is to build a community of strong, confident, eager, young women to live a purposeful life that is centered around positivity, learning, ambition and compassion.
If you know a teenage girl who may feel a bit lost dealing with pressures we commonly find in high school (peer pressure, feeling disconnected, in need of clarity but wanting to move forward) this is a great way to get a game plan together to feel better about herself and her life.
This workshop is for teenage girls between the ages of 14 - 18.
My goal is to share the tools that have helped me and many of the clients to whom I have worked with over the years to create and incorporate strategies as well as tool on how to identify and achieve goals.
As I work on getting my workbook published (based on this content) by the end of the summer, I am incorporating and teaching these success principles to teenagers in hopes of helping them stay focused during times of change and instability in their lives. For more information as to why I have put this workshop together, read below.
I can't wait to work with the girls. Thank you for stopping by my page! Please send me an inbox if you have any questions. Thanks!
Patti
What we will discuss:
The Power of Mindset
How do we get in a mindset on how to set goals? How do we get in a positive frame of mind during times of change?
o Attitude – Being thankful and how it changes attitude.
o Knowing What Works – What worked for you in the past?
o Remembering – How did you feel after accomplishing previous goals?
o Self-Awareness – “Happy Lists” – Know what makes you happy and helps you to enjoy your life
o “You Are Who You Know” – Make conscious choices to be around people that support your goal seeking ventures.
o Educate Yourself/Find Mentors- Read stories, go online or ask friends/ that have accomplished goals and ask them for tools. You do not necessarily have to know your goals, but ask them how they got themselves in a positive state of mind to think that they could accomplish those goals.
We will discuss the following:
-Self sabotage - Why do we have a hard time setting personal goals when -We help everyone else try to reach their full potential?
-The benefit of self assessment
-Moving past your triggers
-Knowing your "yellow light" and realize when it's time to say "no"
-Surrounding yourself with positivity

For those of you who have inquired, I have addressed your questions:
Why did I put these workshops together?
Many of you have inquired about my transition coaching as well as my goal setting workshops. Basically, I put together these workshops for two reasons:
1. I love to teach. I have an MAT in Secondary Teaching with a specialty in English. I figured with a room full of people from different backgrounds, this would make for a fun and inspiring hour and a a half.
2. I am a bit amazed as to how many people I coach (business and/or personal) do not have goals. Without goals, you will never achieve what you want out of life. To help people find focus and clarity is the most rewarding job. I really do enjoy helping people unveil their passions in life.
Also, I have found through my own experience, that during times of change (at all important times in our lives - high school, especially) we can get caught up in what we think OTHERS expect from us and we do not continue to write our OWN script. My goal is to empower teenage girls to come up with their own script, and live a life in accordance to their morals, values and passion. It's to cultivate inner passion and self-esteem to combat the pressures they may feel with school, peers, society, the media, etc.
Simply put - it's the old adage - I wish I knew back then what I know now. Well, I am doing something about it. And I want your girls to flourish because of my research.
What is a goal setting workshop anyway? What does Be Your Own Success Story mean?
We hear stories in the media about people that have set the world on fire with personal and/or professional achievement all the time. However, many of us do not think we have the capability to do the same. For the past five years, I have studied success principles from many of these people that have overcome tremendous odds. I wanted to share with you what I have learned. Based on this, I see no reason why you cannot "be your own success story."
What you will get out of the workshop:
A Note to the Girls:
Goals can be intimidating and many of us have no idea how the heck to set them. The worst thing that can happen is that you listen to stories from other aspiring goal setters, learn a few tips, assimilate with their life, make some new friends, and worst case scenario, eat some good pizza. You get an "A" for effort for simply going which should make you feel empowered.
You will be one step closer to a better life. Believe it or not, those two hours will be spent thinking about what you want out of your life. Even if you have never done it before, you will sit back and start to think about what kind of life you want to live.
Stories that inspire will be shared. There isn't a workshop that goes by when I don't learn a thing or two. You will see, no matter where you have been through life's journey, there are many of us have been there, done that. In addition, if you haven't traveled down that road before, you will see that people have the most amazing tools on how to succeed during the most difficult of times.
A little piece of your life will be handed back to you. My hope is that you will get a little piece of yourself back after all you have done, over the course of your life, for everyone else.
No matter what stage you are in your life and if there is a little voice inside your head that simply wants for you to "be" more, you will get something out of this workshop. That is what makes it fun. Although we may have different goals, we all have one thing in common- the desire to push ourselves further to live a more fulfilled and happier life.
Focus for the workshop includes:
• Learn tips and strategies on goal setting
• Key components of a successful action plan
• Methods on how to reconnect with what matters most in your life – you!
• Meet people going through similar transitions
• Success stories from people that have prospered during times of change and women in the area who have thrived.
• How to find a goal setting mentor
This is an informal group of goal-seeking and like-minded people who t seek inspiration and the desire to make the most out of this changing times in their lives.
Please mail payment of $35.00 (which will include reading material, pizza, beverage) to reserve your spot. Spaces are limited and we have 5 spots left.
