Rumson, NJ – May 2012 – Children ages 10 and up will spend a week exploring, sketching and studying nature in nearby parks while being encouraged to see the natural world with fresh eyes.

Drawing from Nature is one of this summer’s Canvas Camps, theme-based arts programs presented by Canvas Studio Art. Each one-week session runs Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. until noon. Cost is $225.
Instructor Kathleen Beausoleil is a working artist living in Fair Haven who received her BFA at Syracuse University. She is primarily a painter and drawer whose work is in the permanent collection of The Art Museum of Missoula and private collections throughout the United States. Kathleen taught at the SUNY Empire State’s, Studio Semester program. All Canvas Camp instructors are carefully chosen for their energy and experience with children.
