Father's Day with Kids at Holy Cross
In an annual event, fathers come to school with students and spend the day playing games, bonding and learning about the children's school world
In honor of Father’s Day, each year Preschool hosts Father’s Field Day.
Much anticipated by the children, it is the day when dads spend the day with them at school. All the families chip in for matching tee shirts for the daddies and children with their “team” name on the back.
Though most years the event takes place on the soccer field, this year it was held in the gym due to recent rain. That didn’t stop physical education teacher Mr. Michael Feerst from leading the father/child pairs in lots of fun games and contests.

They had running relays, skipping races, a teeth-gritting tug-of-war, and a marshmallow and spoon race that the kids won hands-down. It was all topped off with giant parachute games and lots of smiles and hugs.
Following their workout, all the families, moms included, joined the preschool staff in their garden for a picnic.
