Crockett had previously posted an update on her fundraising page: "I wanted to take this time to personally thank each and every one of you for your generous donations for my family in Ukraine. Undoubtedly, this senseless war has been the most arduous time for my family.
"Right now my family is staying focused on life. I am able to talk with them every day and that is a great source of comfort for us both. Because of your generosity, I was able to raise a great amount of money for my brother Tolik and his wife Anna; my sister Alena; her husband and 7-year-old daughter Tatiana; and family friend Nadya, her husband and young son."

She said in the update that money will also be donated to Frontier Horizons and their successful efforts that have brought hundreds of orphans to Poland.
"I am thankful to everyone who helped me during this difficult time. I appreciate all the calls and texts and concern for my family and Ukraine. It is very heartbreaking for me to hear of the fear my family is facing and all the destruction happening to a beautiful country and its people. Please know how grateful my family is for the support. The money that I have sent them is allowing them to survive during this war and for that we are eternally grateful. I am happy to report, my niece Nicole was able to travel safely to Poland and is living with her father."
