New Fair Haven Councilman Chris Rodriguez Sworn In
On Feb. 27, the Fair Haven council appointed Christopher Rodriguez to fill the seat vacated by Aimee Humphreys, who moved to Red Bank.

FAIR HAVEN, NJ - On Feb. 27, the Fair Haven borough council appointed Christopher Rodriguez to fill the seat vacated by Councilwoman Aimee Humphreys.
Newly appointed Councilman Rodriguez brings a record of town service and volunteering which includes involvement in the recreation soccer program, the Shade Tree Commission, coordination with the Fair Haven Fields Natural Area Committee, and beginning to work with Cub Scout Pack 127.
Councilman Rodriguez plans to continue to focus on environmental issues, working with Fair Haven seniors, and getting more involved with borough infrastructure.

“In addition to my assigned areas of responsibility on the borough council, I plan to devote extra focus and energy on promoting local volunteerism, offering more to our seniors and protecting our environment to maintain Fair Haven’s treasured parks, trees, rivers, and ponds for generations to come,” said Councilman Christopher Rodriguez. “I’m honored to have been selected to serve from a pool of extremely qualified and dynamic candidates including Fair Haven Democratic Committee Vice Chair Shervyn von Hoerl and local entrepreneur and attorney Patricia Quigley.”
Councilman Rodriguez has been assigned responsibilities focused on Planning and Zoning working with Councilman Robert Marchese and Borough Facilities with Councilman Eric Jaeger.

Councilwoman Humphreys, a Fair Haven resident of nearly 40 years, is a successful entrepreneur who won elected office in her first run in 2014, breaking a 25-year drought for the Democrats in Fair Haven. Councilwoman Humphreys, who will move to neighboring Red Bank, plans to remain politically active in the community. During her tenure on the Fair Haven borough council, Councilwoman Humphreys worked closely with the Department of Public Works and the town administration on facilities and public service employee matters. She also advocated for neighborhood safety measures.
“It has been an honor to serve as a Councilwoman and it is bittersweet to be leaving Fair Haven after almost 40 years of living and working here,” said Humphreys.
