Polls Open From 4-8 P.M. Today For Rumson-Fair Haven Schools Vote

Big improvements could be coming to the RFHSD school district next year. Residents will be asked today if they want to pay for them.

RUMSON-FAIR HAVEN, NJ — Big improvements could be coming to the RFHSD school district next year. And Rumson/Fair Haven residents will be asked in a special vote Tuesday whether they want to pay for them or not.

On October 2, the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Board of Education will ask residents to vote on a $12.59 million bond referendum that would renovate and reconfigure space in the high school to better serve students’ educational, technology, and security needs.

“A number of factors make this a good time to propose a bond referendum,” said Board of Education President Lisa Waters. “We are retiring previous debt, interest rates are relatively low, and the state will help pay for some of the proposed projects. Our guiding goal is for the referendum to be tax-neutral for our residents.”
