RFH Student Catapults Go the Distance
Jonathon Pennetti's physics class launched their devices on the football field.
On a windy and sunny day in March, Jonathon Pennetti's physics students were doing their best to launch themselves into a good grade. Pennetti tasked his student teams to launch a golf ball at least 15 yards with a catapult they constructed themselves.
According to Pennetti, creativity, meeting specifications and distance all went into their final grade. "The best catapults were able to launch a golf ball nearly 45 yards!," he said.
Patch thanks Mr. Pennetti for sending us these photos. If you have a class project or achievement to share email Patch.
