The Dangers of Using Unqualified Coaches and Trainers

Today, a woman came into Fuel Fitness Studio to start her exercise routine again after a 4-month hiatus.

The reason she had to take that time off is due to the fact that she received injuries while working out with her “running coach.” Unfortunately, it appeared this coach had zero fitness certifications.

Even if your “coach” appears to be in top physical shape and a great runner, this does not mean that s/he is qualified to TRAIN you and this is certainly not the person for you to pay to help to condition your body.

When selecting a fitness trainer, make sure the person to whom you are entrusting your body and “well being” to is a certified professional with CPR. Looking the part is one thing, but having the qualifications to BE the part, is another.

When it comes to your fitness goals, if you are working out with someone who has no certifications and insurance, you are in danger of getting hurt – possibly seriously injured.

Ask the right questions when hiring someone to work with you with whatever you would like to do physically – run, weight train, dance, etc. Trust those who have the necessary qualifications to train you when it comes to your physical wellness and well-being.

It only makes sense in the long run when you do.

“If you think it’s expensive to hire a professional, wait until you hire an amateur.”
