Ward, once a three-star recruit and top-12 New Jersey prospect, could see a bigger role this season, giving Rutherford fans another reason to follow WVU football.
   

• American Dream faces $25M tax fight with Meadowlands towns (therealdeal.com) — Rutherford is one of several Meadowlands towns saying the American Dream megamall owes them hundreds of thousands of dollars in long-promised payments. East Rutherford is leading a broader $25 million tax dispute, with a proposed settlement on part of the bill expected to be considered in late September. Rutherford's share, routed through the state sports authority, has reportedly not been paid.
