1,000 Free Rabbits for Home Buyers/Sellers from Realtor

One industrious realtor is offering 1,000 free rabbits to any of his team’s home buyer or seller clients in the month of April.
Peter Klein, the team leader of the Tress Realty Group at Keller Williams (www.TressHomes.com), thinks giving new home owners a family pet would be a great way of

“In some cultures, the foot of a rabbit is carried as an amulet believed to bring good luck,” said Klein. “And we thought giving away not just a foot but the whole rabbit would bring that much more luck – times one thousand.”
“We’ve always focused on helping home buyers and sellers know the pricing market for homes,” explained Klein.

“Our team makes sure folks understand the current and future market value of the property, what changes or upgrades have the most return on investment and highest level of use satisfaction. We always offer a free home valuation for sellers. We thought one thousand free rabbits is a lot, but it is a reminder of all of the things we analyze in pricing a home for our clients.”
The Spring Real Estate Market this year in most New Jersey towns sees a lack of sellers and an abundance of buyers.
“If we could find 1,000 sellers, we know there are the ‘rabbits’ there to buy the homes,” Klein explained metaphorically.
The giveaway does include one year’s supply of food pellets for 1,000 rabbits, but Klein wanted to warn homeowners that they may have more rabbits than that total if they allow the animals to breed.
“People may not appreciate the numbers, but a thousand rabbits could have a bunch of little ones in a year,” warned Klein. “We want to make sure our new clients understand the economics – no different than the home buying process where you can’t just fall in love with the ‘cuteness’ of the home without knowing the financial information.”
Rabbits have a gestation period of around 31 days, and mother rabbits can be impregnated again within minutes of giving birth because they are induced ovulators. So a female rabbit could have 12 litters per year, with each litter averaging 6 bunnies.
The Tress Realty giveaway of 1,000 rabbits could cause quite a lot of bunnies for the lucky home buyers or sellers. If half of the rabbits are females, having 12 litters of six babies during the first year of the free food giveaway, there could be another 36,000 rabbits added to the colony.
And since half of the baby rabbits should be female and since rabbits can start reproducing at 6 months of age, the additional 18,000 female rabbits would have half of a year of baby-making and produce another 648,000 rabbits plus the additional 36,000 babies plus the original 1,000 – or a total of approximately 685,000.
That’s a lot of rabbit.
An alternative to the Tress Realty Rabbit Giveaway is that home buyers or sellers who enter a contract or agreement in April would receive a 55” television.
“We wanted the promotion for our new clients to bring love into their lives, and what is better for love then a cute and cuddly baby rabbit,” questioned Klein. “But it could be a real problem if the home buyers or sellers don’t have the rabbits neutered or spayed.”
Thankfully, this is all just an April Fools joke.
