Downtown restaurant 87 Sussex is inviting diners to pull up a seat and watch dinner being made this fall, as Chef Brian Walter hosts a cooking class and tasting on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
The event, part of the restaurant's 87 Sussex Curated Experience series, begins at 7 p.m. at 87 Sussex St. Despite the "cooking class" name, guests won't need to pick up a knife. Chef Walter will prepare a multi-course menu in front of the group, explaining each dish as he cooks before serving it. Organizers describe it as an intimate evening built around great food, wine and company.
The fall menu leans into the season's richer flavors:
Tickets are $85 per person and must be prepaid. New Jersey sales tax and a 20 percent gratuity will be added to that price. Reservations are available through OpenTable for parties of one to 20.
