Scotch Plains resident to direct new play about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Scotch Plains resident Frank Briamonte will direct a brand new play in Montclair, NJ beginning May 2nd.  The play, is part of an evening of one-act plays called Artificial Intelligence, written by: Eric Alter.  The play is called:  Tsi dza to madze meli o, which is an African Proverb.  The play is about a soldier who returns home from war and suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. 

Briamonte was drawn to the project because the nature of the subject matter.  "This is happening to our soldiers, and I thought this was an important play to be seen" he said. 

The play will play for 7 performances, the dates are:  May 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11 at The Grove Street Theatre, 130 Grove Street, Montclair, NJ  07042.  Tickets are $20.00 (standard) and $16.00 (seniors, students, military and teachers).  Show times are:  7:30 p.m. Thursday nights, 8:00 p.m. Fri and Sat, and 2:00 p.m. for the one Sunday performance on May 5th begins at 2:00 p.m.
