Two Scotch Plains Women Lose Big and Win Weight Loss Challenge at Get In Shape For Women

Visit Get In Shape For Women Studio at their Open House this Saturday, Sept. 15th from 1pm to 3pm, 445 Park Ave., Scotch Plains.

SCOTCH PLAINS – Cari Frederico and Abby Wean, both of Scotch Plains,  recently competed against seven other sets of challengers and won Get In Shape For Women's "Bring A Friend Weight Loss Challenge" by losing a combined 18.2 lbs in just four weeks!  The object of the Challenge was to encourage Studio clients to partner up with non-client friends and to embrace the lifestyle of consistent exercise and proper nutrition in an attempt to achieve maximum weight loss. Each winner received $200 department store gift card from the Get In Shape For Women Studio at 445 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains.

“Get in Shape for Women guided me to making healthy food choices,” said Frederico. "Trainers always alter my workout to provide constant challenge and, most importantly, they always keep it fun. … I can now do multiple sit ups and dismount the bench without rolling off. This was a major accomplishment for me.”

Added Wean: “My ability to jog and swim longer has increased and I feel stronger. I think some of this is due to increased exercise and weight training. But I also feel that I am more confident in my abilities now after the challenge.”
