BREAKING: Woman Fatally Electrocuted In Fanwood: Report

The 26-year-old Plainfield woman was trying to get out of her car when she was electrocuted by live wires: report

The 26-year-old woman's identity has not been released yet as her family has not been notified.

A severe thunderstorm swept through the area bringing heavy rain, thunder and lightning. Around 4:30 p.m. the Plainfield woman was driving her white sedan on Midway Avenue when live wires fell onto the car, Fanwood Police Chief Richard Trigo said, according to nj.com.

As she attempted to exit through the passenger side she was electrocuted by the live current and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to nj.com.
