Join us at the Scotch Plains Public Library on Monday, May 4th at 7:00pm for an informative and timely talk about the World Cup events happening soon. When the 2026 FIFA World Cup comes to North America this summer, it is poised to be one of the biggest sports events ever, potentially setting viewership and attendance records. Sports business writer Eric Fisher will discuss the upcoming soccer tournament, its history, its role in the broader culture, and how fans can keep up with the action.
A Scotch Plains resident, Eric is a senior reporter at Front Office Sports, covering the business angle of some of the biggest events in sports over the past 30 years, including the Super Bowl, World Series, all-star games in every major league, and the World Baseball Classic.
