The Fanwood Performance Series presents an evening of jazz featuring The James Austin Jr. Trio and pianist/composer Ellie Lee.
Austin's trio will perform “Songs in the Key of Wonder & More” – a program featuring tasteful arrangements of compositions by Stevie Wonder, along with jazz standards.
Lee's work blends a variety of styles including jazz, classical, pop, R&B/soul and gospel.
The show takes place in the Patricia M. Kuran Cultural Arts Center at the Carriage House, on Watson Road just west of Martine Avenue, next to Fanwood Borough Hall. The suggested donation for admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors – cash at the door.

Austin, who hails from Chicago, has performed alongside an illustrious list of singers and musicians in diverse settings throughout the world, and served as pianist and arranger for two star-studded concerts at Carnegie Hall. He is regularly featured as a pianist and bandleader for various live concerts, theatrical performances, and civic and charitable events around the New York-New Jersey metro area. He has curated and led the NJPAC Jazz Jam Session series since its inception.
Lee grew up in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the U.S. when she was awarded a scholarship to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. She later received a Master of Music degree from William Paterson University in Wayne. In addition to performing extensively in the New York-New Jersey area, Lee teaches as an adjunct professor at Felician University in Rutherford.
