College Club of F-SP will sponsor a blood drive on Feb. 29th

The College Club of Fanwood-Scotch Plains is sponsoring a blood drive on February 29th at the New Jersey Blood Services, Scotch Plains Donor Center, 2279 South Avenue, Scotch Plains (adjacent to Tom the Green Grocer). The entrance to the building and the parking area are located at the back of the building. Donation hours are 8:00 am to 2:45 pm.

Age qualifications for donors: minimum age is 16, maximum age is up to and including 76th birthday. Donors past 76 must have approval from their physician.

All eligible members of the community are encouraged to join College Club members and donate blood at a time when there is an urgent need for donations. According to a recent article in the Star Ledger, New Jersey is facing a critical blood shortage due to a higher than usual drop in donations during the holiday season.

College Club members participate in and support a community outreach activity during each month of the year. More information about the College Club can be found on the club's website at fspcollegeclub.org.
