Polls Opened Tuesday: Where To Vote, Who's On The Ballot in Scotch Plains, Fanwood
There are contested races in both Scotch Plains and Fanwood.

Scotch Plains/Fanwood, NJ -- Tuesday is Primary Day.
- In Scotch Plains, there is both a contested mayoral race and council race.
Incumbent Democrat Kevin Glover is running to be re-elected as Mayor for another four-year term. Republican Alexander Smith is challenging Glover for the position.
There is also one four-year township council position open. Democrat Luisa Bianco is running against Republican Theodore Spera.

- In Fanwood, the election is bit quieter. There is an uncontested race for two three-year councilmen seats.
Democrats Katherine Mitchell and Tom Kranz are running opposed for those positions.
- Along with the local races, there is plenty to vote for on the legislative and county levels.
On the legislative level, there are four vying for a two-year term seat for the House of Representatives - 7th Congressional District, which covers Berkeley Heights, Clark, Cranford, Garwood, Kenilworth, Mountainside, New Providence, Scotch Plains (part), Springfield,Summit, Union Township (part), Westfield, Winfield Township.

Peter Jacob is the only Democrat running for the seat against Republicans Leonard Lance, David Larson, Craig P. Heard.
Three are vying for a two-year term seat for the House of Representatives - 8th Congressional District, which covers Elizabeth.
Democrats Albio Sires and Eloy J. Delgado are running against Republican Agha Khan.
Two are running for a two-year term seat for the House of Representatives - 10th Congressional District, which covers Hillside, Linden, Rahway, Roselle, Roselle Park, Union Township (part).
Democrat Donald M. Payne Jr. is running against Republic David H. Pinckney.
Three are running for a a two-year term seat for the House of Representatives - 12th Congressional District, which covers Fanwood, Plainfield, Scotch Plains (part).
Democrats Bonnie Watson Coleman and Alexander J. Kucsma are running against Republican Steven J. Uccio.
On the county level, six candidates are running for three three-year term seats as Union County Freeholders.
Democrats Linda S. Carter of Plainfield, Bette Jane Kowalski of Cranford and Sergio Grandos of Elizabeth are running against Republicans Josegh G. Aubourg of Roselle, Glenn E. Gelband of Mountainside and Justin Verzosa of Union.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
