National Night Out - LaGrande Park, Fanwood

This evening, Tuesday, August 2, 2011 residents are invited to LaGrande Park to join forces with the Fanwood Police Department and thousands of communities nationwide for the Annual National Night Out crime and drug prevention event.

The Fanwood Police Department will be hosting the event in LaGrande Park from 7 pm until 8:30 pm, followed by the Disney movie Tangled.

Officers also will be on hand for child identification cards, fingerprinting and crime prevention tips. Members of the Fanwood Fire and Rescue Squads will be on hand to join forces with the Fanwood Police Department. There will be hot dogs, popcorn, a bouncy castle, face painter and a movie.

National Night Out is a national event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. The night is designed to heighten crime- and drug-prevention awareness, generate support for anticrime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals, letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.  For more information, visit www.fanwoodnj.org.  This event is free and all are welcome.
