Fanwood Police Issue Traffic Advisory Ahead Of Trump Truck Parade

The parade will be entering Fanwood at about 11 a.m. As a result, Martine Avenue will be affected, Fanwood Police said.

FANWOOD, NJ — Fanwood Police have issued a traffic advisory ahead of a President Trump Truck Parade that will be passing through the borough on Saturday.

One parade will begin in the parking lot of the AMC movie theater in Mountainside at 1021 Route 22 and another in the parking lot of the Westwood venue hall at 438 North Ave. in Garwood before coming together and then passing through several Union County towns. The parade will be entering Fanwood at about 11 a.m. As a result, Martine Avenue will be affected, police said in an alert to residents.

Drivers are asked to plan for delays or plan alternate routes. Officers will be monitoring the parade.

The parade will end in Bedminster where parade participants will then join a rally being held just outside of the Trump National Golf Club. The rally will be held at the Clarence Dillon Public Library, 2336 Lamington Rd., in Bedminster.

The rally, hosted by Somerset County for Trump, will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Supporters are encouraged to bring flags, posters, stickers, and homemade signs.

The Somerset County for Trump group is also hosting a rally at the Bedminster library on Saturday, Oct. 31. For more information click here.
