First Viking Spooktacular is a Success!

On October 26, Union Catholic High School held its annual 5K Run/Walk, this time with a Halloween flair. Joan Badala O'Donnell '77 coordinated the event, including costume contests and pumpkin painting. With 207 finishers, the event was a huge success!

Held on a beautiful fall day, the course took runners through a lovely Scotch Plains neighborhood, where they returned from the race to a breakfast of bagels, fruit, and beverages at UC. The overall race winners were Andrew Ghizzone ’14 (16.40) (new course record) and Samantha Peters ’08 (19.14) (new course record).
