How To Vote In Scotch Plains, Fanwood Before Or On Nov. 3

There are 3 ways to vote in Scotch Plains and Fanwood: US mail, dropbox, or deliver a ballot to your assigned poll location on Election Day.

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ — The mail-in ballots have been sent out to Scotch Plains and Fanwood residents and there are three ways to vote either before or on Election Day on Nov. 3.

Ballots can also be mailed through the US Postal Service or dropped in the designated Drop Boxes throughout Union County.

Mail-in ballot drop boxes were placed at the Scotch Plains Public Library at 1927 Bartle Ave. and Fanwood Memorial Library at 5 Forest Road. The dropbox will be emptied each day by employees of Union County.

Ballots must be received by the Board of Elections by the close of polls on Election Day at 8 p.m. Ballots that are post-marked by Nov. 3 can be counted if they are received no later than 8 p.m. on Nov. 9. In addition, for this election, ballots received from the United States Postal Service within 48 hours after Nov. 3rd without a postmark can also be counted.

  • Union County Board of Elections – 271 North Broad Street, Elizabeth

On Election Day, completed/voted mail-in ballots can be delivered to your respective polling location and handed in there:

  • Fanwood District 1,2,6,7 - Municipal Building, 75 N Martine Ave., Rear Entrance
  • Fanwood District 3-5 - LaGrande Park Building, 3rd St Entrance, Main Space
  • Scotch Plains District 1-5 - Park Middle School, 580 Park Ave., Back Gym
  • Scotch Plains District 8 - Green Forest Clubhouse, 554 Westfield Rd., Meeting Room
  • Scotch Plains District 6,7,9-11 - Evergreen School, 2280 Evergreen Ave., Gym, Cedar St. Entrance
  • Scotch Plains District 12-16 - William McGinn School, 1100 Roosevelt Ave., Gym
  • Scotch Plains District 17,18 - Terrill Middle School, 1301 Terrill Rd., Lobby
  • Scotch Plains District 19-21, 23 - Coles School, 16 Kevin Rd., Gym
  • Scotch Plains District 22 - Southwyck Village, 21 Maddaket-Clubhouse Clubhouse
