Results from the FSPY Gymnastics Team’s latest competition

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA A & B Divisions Gymnastics Teams competed at The Madison Area YMCA on May 19 in their last regular season competition.

The A Division, Level 8, 15 and & under age group was represented by Ashley Sekiya, Jillian Miele and Cadence Weiss. Sekiya placed 1st on Bars, 2nd in the All-Around and 3rd on Vault, Balance Beam and Floor. Miele placed 2nd on Bars.

Nicalina DelRosario and Rachel Tang represented the team in the 16 & over age group. Tang placed 2nd on Vault and Bars.

The B Division, Level 7, 12 & under age group was represented by Alice Ping and Ava Fazio. Ping placed 1st on Vault, while Fazio placed 3rd on Balance Beam and Floor.

Tehya Stephens placed 2nd on Vault and Balance Beam and 3rd on Floor in the 13-year-old age group for Level 7.

Elizabeth Parvin represented the team in the 14 and over age group.

The B Division, Level 6, 11 and under age group was represented by Agnes Yee, who placed 4th on Vault.

Olivia Stelzer represented the team in the 12 year-old age group.

The 13-year-old age group was represented by Sarah Sicoli and Eva Pereira. Pereira placed 3rd on Vault and 6th in the All-Around behind Sicoli’s 5th place finish. Sicoli also placed 6th on Vault. Jessica Dianda competed as an exhibition.

Jessica Glander, Madalyn McEvoy and Lauren Fitzgerald competed in the 14 and over age group. McEvoy earned 3rd places on Vault and Bars, 4th places on Floor and All-Around and 6th place on Balance Beam.

Awaken your imagination this summer at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA. Gymnastics classes offered at the YMCA include parent-toddler, preschool and school age classes.
