Scotch Plains-Fanwood Election Results 2017

Breaking: Democrats win in Fanwood.

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ — Locally there was a contested race in Fanwood and no local races in Scotch Plains. There was a board of education race in Scotch Plains, but it was uncontested.

Here are the unofficial results of the 2017 Fanwood Borough Council, Scotch Plains School Board and county elections.

In Fanwood there were three candidates vying for two three-year seats on the borough council.

Democrat incumbent Russell Huegel had 1,620 votes and democrat Anthony Carter won with 1,563 votes over republican Brian Walter 876 votes.

Scotch Plains Board of Education:

Evan Murray received 2,495 votes and Cynthia H. Clancy got 2,413 votes, who ran unopposed for two, three-year term seats.

Results are unofficial until certified by the Union County Clerk and do not include absentee ballots.
