Scotch Plains-Fanwood Regional Shortens School Year
A virtual graduation is also being planned for high school seniors on June 23.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Scotch Plains-Fanwood Regional school year will be shortened as the district uses unused snow days.
The district will use the three unused days to close school on Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25 with remote learning resuming Tuesday, May 26. Additionally, the other two unused emergency closing days will be used Monday, June 22 and Tuesday, June 23, making the last day of school for students and staff Friday, June 19, Superintendent Dr. Joan V. Mast said in a letter to parents.
The Board of Education will vote to approve the calendar change for June 22 and June 23 at its next Board meeting which is May 28.

Additionally a virtual graduation for High School Seniors will remain on June 23.
It is unclear if the graduation plans will change as Gov. Phil Murphy announced Wednesday that New Jersey high schools will be allowed to hold outdoor graduations, so long as participants remain in their cars. Read More: Gov. Murphy: Outdoor NJ Graduations Can Happen – In Your Car
