Scotch Plains Holiday Home Decorating Contest Benefits Food Bank

Residents will decorate their home and also set up a box to collect canned goods as part of the contest.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — The Scotch Plains Holiday Home Decorating Contest will benefit the Community FoodBank this year.

The contest sponsored by the Scotch Plains Recreation Department and Scotch Plains Fire Department is a way to get residents in the holiday spirit.

Residents can register their home on Community Pass up until Sunday, Dec. 8 then pick up lawn signs at Town Hall between Dec. 8 and 13. Participants will set up a box to collect canned goods (food will be collected on Jan. 4).

Residents will then decorate their home and voting will take place from Dec. 14 through Jan. 3. Participation is limited to the first 25 Scotch Plains homes to register.
