Scotch Plains Man To Run 30 Miles For 30 Days For Clean Water
James Leitner will run 30 miles everyday for 30 days to raise funds and spread awareness for the water issues many people face.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Scotch Plains James Leitner is once again conquering a huge physical feat in an effort to raise $30,000 and spread awareness for the water issues many people face all around the world.
Beginning on May 1, Leitner will run 30 miles every day for 30 days to raise $30,000 to provide clean water to an St. Elizabeth’s all girls school in Tanzania. He will kick off his run at Tamaques Park in Westfield, at 5:30 a.m.
The 30 miles for 30 days isn't the first extreme adventure for Leitner, who previously carried 90 pounds of water over more than 3,000 miles across the United States in 2017 and ran a marathon every month in 2016 while carrying 45 pounds of water on his head for the same mission.

His passion to provide clean water for everyone began at Scotch Plains-Fanwood Regional High School. Ever since learning that close to a billion people live without drinking water, he has dedicated his life to help those most affected.
Leitner then formed the 501c3, MissionCleanWater to begin providing clean drinking water to the most underserved communities in the world
