Scotch Plains Native Named Big East's B-Ball Player of Week

Scotch Plains native Ashton Gibbs has been named the Big East's Basketball Player of the Week.

Gibbs, a Seton Hall Prep graduate, is currently a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh. He is the guard on the basketball team there. This past summer, Gibbs was  one of 12 players chosen for the USA Basketball Men's Under-19 National Team that played in New Zealand and brought home the USA's first gold medal in 18 years.
