Scotch Plains Pooch To Star In 'Legally Blonde'

Talos the Rottweiler from Scotch Plains will star in "Legally Blonde" from July 27 to July 29 in Kenilworth.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Talos a furry, happy-go-lucky Rottweiler from Scotch Plains is heading to the stage with the C.A.S.T. (Community Actor’s Student Theater) performing “Legally Blonde” in this year’s show.

Talos is playing the part of “Rufus” and his friends (two Chihuahuas) will be sharing the part of “Bruiser." This is Talos’ first time in a play, but the Chihuahuas — owned by Jayne Malone — are seasoned pros, having recently participated in the 10-day run of the show in Edison’s Plays in the Park.

"Legally Blonde" is running Thursday, Friday, Saturday night this week at 7 p.m. at David Brearley High School, 401 Monroe Ave., in Kenilworth. Tickets are $10.

This isn't Talos' first time in the spotlight. Recently in June he was asked to go to New York City to do a segment on “Keeping Dogs Cool” in the Summer with Fox 5 News/Fox & Friends.
