Scotch Plains Primary Election Candidates 2020: Who's Running
There are four candidates in the primary running for Mayor and one Township Council seat:
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — There are four candidates who have filed to run in the primary election for Mayor and one Township Council seat in Scotch Plains for 2020.
Candidates had until 4 p.m. on Monday to file petitions for election.
Mayor

- Democrat - Joshua G. Losardo
- Republican - Alexander M. Smith (Incumbent)
Township Council (1 seat)
- Democrat - Ellen Zimmerman
- Republican - Theodore J. Spera (Incumbent)
The candidates are all running for their party's nomination on June 2 and then will move on to the general election on Nov. 3.
