SP-F Game Against Bridgewater-Raritan Ends in Scoreless Tie
Coach Tom Breznitsky said the team worked hard, but just wasn't lucky enough to get the goals

Several times in the second overtime of Scotch Plains-Fanwood's boys soccer game against Bridgewater-Raritan Tuesday, it looked like the Raiders would break a scoreless tie.
The Raiders (6-1-1) had taken shots that hit the post in the first and second half
against the Panthers (3-3-1), but it just wasn't meant to happen. And give Panther
goalie Travis Ives high praise for stopping the Scotch Plains-Fanwood threat in the second overtime.

The game ended scoreless.
"There were too many of them to talk about," said Scotch Plains-Fanwood coach Tom Breznitsky, considering the chances. "I don't know what to say. We had so many opportunities that we should have gotten the goal to win it. But we didn't. Why? A little unlucky, a little bit of shooting ability — not being able to complete the sequence."
Blake DeJohn and Vincenco Bianco had the post shots.
"We should have won the game, the kids worked hard, played hard the whole time," Breznitsky said. "They created the opportunites, we just didn't finish. As I said earlier, sometimes it's better to be lucky than be good."
The Raiders outshot Bridgewater-Raritan 17-9. Ives made seven saves, while Anthony Zukofsky had five for SP-F.
