At last night's BOE Open Agenda meeting, we learned of a new program that will be made available to students grades 2-5 called Type to Learn. This Internet based program would be available to students anywhere they have access to the Internet. It offers scaffolding of instruction, parent reports, whole group and individual instruction, and audio to meet the needs of the hearing impaired. Given the ever-increasing use of digital technology in everyday life: texting, laptops, tablets, our children will be moving toward a paperless future and will benefit from learning keyboarding skills. We're glad to see the school district making efforts to integrate technology into the student's curriculum. To see more information on the program, here's the link: http://ttl4.sunburst.com/
