Union County Grocery Store Sells $50K Winning Lottery Ticket
A Union County grocery store was among two locations to sell a $50,000 winning New Jersey Powerball lottery ticket.
KENILWORTH, NJ — A Union County grocery store was among two locations to sell a $50,000 winning New Jersey Powerball lottery ticket.
Acme, at 801 Kenilworth Blvd., in Kenilworth and Paramus Food Center, 548 Paramus Rd., in Paramus both sold tickets that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn for the Saturday, Oct. 12, drawing winning the third-tier prize.
The winning numbers for the Saturday, Oct. 12, drawing were: 12, 29, 34, 53 and 65. The Red Power Ball number was 23. The Multiplier number was 2.

In addition to the third-tier prizewinning tickets sold, there were 21,267 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $107,868 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to Lottery Acting Executive Director James Carey.
The Powerball jackpot rolls to $100 million for the next drawing to be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 10:59 p.m.
