Updated Scotch Plains, Fanwood Totals As More Votes Counted
Union County reported more votes Wednesday night. Here is the latest update on the Scotch Plains and Fanwood races:

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ — Union County has updated its vote tally on Wednesday. Here are the latest election results for the Scotch Plains and Fanwood races.
As of Wednesday night, the Union County Board of Elections has counted 258,236 vote-by-mail ballots out of the roughly 372,854 ballots sent out countywide.
In Scotch Plains, there is a contested Mayoral race with Republican incumbent Alexander M. Smith running against Democrat Joshua G. Losardo.

Here are the unofficial results:
- Joshua G. Losardo: 7,646
- Alexander M. Smith: 7,170
There is also a contested race for the 1st Ward Council Member seat with Democrat Ellen Zimmerman running against Republican incumbent Theodore J. Spera.

- Ellen Zimmerman: 8,070
- Theodore J. Spera: 6,651
In Fanwood, there is an uncontested race on the municipal level with two Democrats running unopposed for three, four-year councilman-at-large seats.
- Jeffrey Banks: 3,344
- Anthony Carter: 3,340
Scotch Plains-Fanwood Regional School Board has five candidates vying for three seats in the upcoming election.
Amy Boroff and Margaret Maggie Savoca are running for the one, three-year seat to represent Fanwood on the board.
- Amy Boroff: 2,494
- Margaret Maggie Savoca: 1,553
Dr. David Levine, Evan Murray, and Karen Mitchell are running for the two, three-year seats to represent Scotch Plains on the board.
- Karen Mitchell: 7,829
- Evan Murray: 7,398
- Dr. David Levine: 6,486
Official results are not expected to be certified until Friday.
