• Upper Township to ‘endure' beach replenishment this summer (dredgewire.com) — Major beach replenishment work is coming this summer to Strathmere, with Sea Isle City sharing in a $99 million federal project to rebuild and protect local beaches. Sea Isle and Upper Township must jointly cover part of the non-federal cost, while residents should expect rolling beach closures, heavy equipment, and access changes through early August as more than a million cubic yards of sand are pumped ashore.
