17 Secaucus Police Officers Recognized For Going Above And Beyond
These 17 officers were honored Tuesday night. In the next few days Patch will tell the story of each individual officer:
SECAUCUS, NJ — On Tuesday evening, 17 Secaucus police officers were honored in an awards ceremony held at town hall. Many of their family members, parents, spouses and children were in attendance, as was Mayor Mike Gonnelli, town administrator Gary Jeffas and the town council.
These 17 officers were recognized for going above and beyond in their careers as members of law enforcement. In varying events that happened over the past two years, these officers showed remarkable displays of bravery, persistence and dedication to their profession of stopping crime.
In the days that follow, Patch will highlight some of the more interesting stories and tell the public exactly what each of these individual officers did. This includes unpaid work they put in on the evenings and weekends. For others, it involved working with federal law enforcement agencies such as the FBI on cases that started right here in Secaucus.

2023 Police Officer of the Year was given to Officer Jude Masullo, to cheers of applause from his fellow officers.
Mayor Gonnelli was also praised for his support of Secaucus Police.

"This administration has done more to equip and prepare the police department than any previous administration I can remember," said Officer Michael Bronowich, who is also Secaucus Police PBA president.
